Score your AI readiness in ten honest minutes.

Twenty-five questions across five dimensions — the same diagnostic we run on day one of every engagement. Check what's true today; no aspirational answers.

Strategy & Alignment

  • We can name the three processes where AI would most change our economics
  • AI initiatives have a named executive owner with budget authority
  • Each candidate use case has an estimated value and a kill criterion
  • We've decided what we will NOT use AI for
  • Leadership can explain our AI posture without a slide deck

Data & Infrastructure

  • Our critical data is documented, owned, and findable within a day
  • We can safely expose relevant data to AI systems without copying it into tools we don't control
  • Environments exist where experiments can't touch production systems
  • We know where customer data physically resides and which contracts restrict its use
  • Someone owns model/tool access credentials with offboarding covered

People & Skills

  • At least one team has hands-on experience building with current models — not just using chat interfaces
  • Employees have a sanctioned way to experiment (and a banned-tools list they actually follow)
  • Job descriptions for key roles now include working alongside AI systems
  • Training exists beyond a one-off lunch-and-learn
  • We've identified the workflows where humans must stay in the loop

Governance & Risk

  • An AI acceptable-use policy exists and was communicated more than once
  • Every deployed AI tool appears in a register someone actually maintains
  • We can answer a customer's "where does your AI get its data" question today
  • Incident response covers AI failures, not just outages
  • Regulatory exposure (GDPR, EU AI Act, sector rules) has been assessed in writing

Delivery Capability

  • We've shipped at least one pilot past the demo stage into real operations
  • Pilots are measured against a pre-registered baseline metric
  • We can swap model providers without rewriting the surrounding system
  • Evaluation of output quality is automated, not vibes-based
  • Post-launch ownership is assigned before launch, not after
